2. Service Description

GIF Compress is a free online tool that compresses, optimizes, resizes, crops, and converts animated GIF files. All image processing occurs locally in your browser using WebAssembly technology. No files are uploaded to any external server. Our Service includes a GIF compressor, optimizer, resizer, cropper, and format converters (GIF to WebP, GIF to MP4), all accessible without account registration.

3. Free Service

The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

4. User Obligations

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you agree not to:

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. 8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GIF Compress and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service:

• To process files that contain malware, viruses, trojans, worms, or any other malicious code
• To process files that infringe upon or violate the intellectual property rights of others
• To process illegal content, including but not limited to content that is defamatory, obscene, or constitutes harassment
• To attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the infrastructure delivering the Service
• To use any automated means (bots, crawlers, scrapers) to access the Service in a manner that sends more requests than a single human could reasonably produce in the same period
• To reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as expressly permitted by applicable law

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the Service for users who violate these acceptable use provisions. Because the Service operates client-side with no user accounts or authentication, enforcement is limited to technical measures such as IP-based rate limiting at the CDN level.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
